European Day of Languages at Europe Direct Timișoara

On September 26, Europe Direct Timișoara celebrated European Language Day with an interactive activity dedicated to linguistic and cultural diversity in Europe.

The first part of the day was dedicated to a linguistic treasure hunt, in which participants, organized into teams, set out in search of hidden notes containing greetings and common expressions in different European languages. The exercise tested their observation skills and cultural knowledge, but above all, their curiosity and teamwork.

The activity continued with a quiz about the European Union, which tested their knowledge of European history, institutions, symbols, and cultural diversity. The competitive but relaxed atmosphere turned learning into a team game, full of energy and good cheer.

At the end, all participants were rewarded with prizes, and the event ended on an optimistic note, marked by a shared desire to learn, cooperate, and celebrate unity in diversity—one of the fundamental values of the European Union.

Through this initiative, Europe Direct Timișoara reaffirmed its mission to promote intercultural dialogue, European education, and openness to diversity among young people in an interactive and attractive way.
