Membership for organizations

A youth NGO from Timiș County? An informal group? We all FITT in!

The Timis County Youth Foundation is a federative structure that currently brings together, under its umbrella, 29 youth and youth-serving organizations operating in Timis County.

What benefits do you get if you become a FITT member?

Access to the FITT community, both online and offline

Participation with voting rights in FITT General Assemblies;

The opportunity to act as partners in projects, alongside FITT;

The opportunity for members of the organization to participate in national and international projects carried out by FITT, as well as in those implemented in partnership (youth exchanges, volunteer programs, events);

Access to free spaces within the Youth House;

The opportunity for organizational development or mentoring provided by the team;

Trainings or working sessions tailored to the needs of your organization;

How can an organization become a FITT member?

Simple! We want the process through which an organization becomes a member to be straightforward and with minimal bureaucracy. Therefore, there are only 5 steps we go through together:

    You send a membership request to office@fitt.ro.

    We get in touch with you and explain exactly which documents are needed;
  • checkmark
    We meet to talk about the great activities you carry out, how your organization is structured, and to get to know some of your members. And yes, we also want to tell you what we do!

    Your application is put to a vote during the next General Assembly;
  • checkmark
    Congratulations! You have officially become FITT members!*
* provided that your application receives a positive vote.

What conditions must an organization meet in order to join FITT?

To be an association or federation operating in accordance with the provisions of Government Ordinance No. 26/2000 on associations and foundations, approved with amendments by Law No. 246/2005, as subsequently amended and supplemented;

To be a “youth” organization, within the meaning of the conditions provided by Youth Law No. 350/2006:

  • the purpose set out in the statutes directly targets the youth field, and in order to achieve it, the majority of the assumed objectives are addressed to young people;
  • at least two thirds of the total number of individual members are young people;

To have its headquarters in one of the localities of Timiș County;

To submit the annual financial statements to the competent fiscal authority;

To carry out youth-related activities on an annual basis, in line with the assumed purpose and objectives, reflected in the accounting records either directly or through partnerships;

In the case of federations, none of its branches or member associations must already have a representative designated as a member of the General Assembly.

Become an associate member!

If you do not meet one of the conditions mentioned to become a MEMBER of the FITT General Assembly, you may apply to become an ASSOCIATE MEMBER of FITT.

Associate membership in FITT is open to any non-governmental structure or initiative group operating in Timiș County and having its registered office in Timiș County.

In practice, you become part of our community and can benefit from support and mentoring, but you do not have voting rights in the General Assembly.
